Dia Gaucho - Traditional Argentinean Estancia in the outskirts of Buenos Aires

La Estancia offers horseback riding, sulky rides, swimming pools, sports and activities for all ages, surrounded by nature and gaucho tradition.

Estancia El Ombú offers guided horseback rides throughout its 300 hectares, allowing you to ride through different groups of cattle and appreciate the beauty of the Argentine countryside, with its rich diversity of birds and local fauna. We have horses suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. For those visiting for a day in the countryside, horseback rides are available from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, with an approximate duration of one hour. We also offer sulky rides for those who prefer not to ride horses, as well as bicycles, hiking, bird watching, soccer and volleyball fields, and two large swimming pools. There are also recreational options such as table tennis, table football and board games, ideal for children and adults. The picturesque historic town of San Antonio de Areco is only 12 kilometers away from the main town. There, its museums and workshops of silversmiths and artisans keep alive the traditions of the gaucho culture, offering an experience that certainly deserves a visit during the tour.

What to bring

Comfortable and suitable clothing for outdoor activities: Long and comfortable pants (ideally jeans or similar) for horseback riding, as they protect the legs.
Light T-shirt or T-shirt, preferably with long sleeves to protect you from the sun.
Closed and resistant footwear (sneakers or trekking boots) for walking in the countryside or horseback riding. Avoid sandals.
Hat or cap to protect you from the sun.
A light jacket or sweater, as temperatures can vary, especially in the morning or at dusk.
Sun protection: High factor sunscreen, as you will be spending a lot of time outdoors.
Sunglasses to protect your eyes.
Pool gear (in summer season): Swimsuit, towel and sandals if you plan to use the pools.
Spare clothes in case you get wet.
Personal items: A reusable water bottle to keep you hydrated during activities.
Insect repellent, as you will be in a rural environment with a possible presence of mosquitoes.
To enjoy the environment: Binoculars if you are interested in bird watching, as the estancia offers this activity and provides illustrative books, but your own binoculars can enhance the experience.
Camera or cell phone to take pictures of the landscape, gaucho activities and animals.
